(A new statue for a new time, with apologies to Emma Lazarus)
Not like the mighty woman with a flame
That used to welcome people to this land;
Here at our spiked and guarded gates shall stand
An orange man with yellow hair, whose fame
Are riches robbed from poor folks, and his name
Grabber of pussies. From his tiny hand
Grows world-wide hatred; mocking eyes command
The closed-down harbor that his walls now frame.
“Give, ancient lands, your storied pomp to me!”
He loudly yells. “And keep your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
I shall deny them access to our shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost away,
I raise my fist to show them all the door!”
