Hundreds of thousands of individuals in grotesquely oversized particulate generators are not a “concept of traffic” but something that should vanish in favour of the extreme expansion of bicycle, train and electric mobility. Even IF the new conservative-liberal government here in NRW, Germany’s most populated state, should succeed in getting rid of the massive traffic jams, that won’t solve the real, underlying problems, but rather make even more people use their cars, creating the next generation of traffic jams, pollution and lung diseases.
